Allianz Worldwide Care specialises in providing international health insurance for employees, individuals and their dependants, wherever they are in the world. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Allianz Group, the company is able to draw on the resources and expertise of one of the world’s leading insurers and financial services providers.

Founded in 1890, today the Allianz Group is one of the leading global services providers in insurance, banking and asset management. With approximately 178,000 employees worldwide (as of September 30, 2007), the Allianz Group serves more than 75 million customers in approximately 70 countries.

Allianz ranks number 19 in the Global Fortune 500 (and number 9 in Europe’s Top 50). Total revenues of the Allianz Group climbed to 101.1 billion euro in 2006, up from 100.9 billion euro the previous year. Operating profit increased by 29.8% from 8.0 billion euro to 10.4 billion euro. Net income for the year rose by 60 percent from just under 4.4 billion euro to more than 7 billion euro.
