Broker Talk (Newsletter)


Broker Talk is a half-yearly newsletter created to keep our brokers up-to-date with the latest developments and news within Allianz Worldwide Care.


Edition 16, Winter 2012
In this edition we announce the upgrade of our Standard and Poor's financial strength rating from A Stable to A+ Stable and discuss key findings regarding our comparatively low annual premium inflation rates, as reported in the Globalsurance International Insurance Review 2012.

We have also included information on recent process, documentation and service enhancements and a feature focusing on Allianz Worldwide Care's rapid response evacuation and repatriation capabilities. In addition, we report on the recent opening of our local office in Qatar's Financial Centre, Doha and our partnership with Medibank in Australia.

Finally, we have highlighted and summarised our key product changes, valid from 1st November 2012.

Edition 15, Summer 2012
In this edition of Broker Talk we announce the launch of our International Healthcare Plans for China, in partnership with sister company Allianz China General Insurance Company Limited.

We report on the recent opening of an operational support centre in Brussels and the launch of Signature; a comprehensive range of healthcare plans designed specifically for UK based employees of small, medium and large corporate clients.

In addition, we present our new Preliminary Medical Underwriting Enquiry Form and provide an update on the extended list of pre-existing/chronic conditions which we can now cover for underwritten individuals and small groups.

Finally, we are happy announce a number of website enhancements, available from the 15th October 2012.

In the fourteenth edition of Broker Talk, Ron Buchan, our CEO, gives his insights into the changes that will affect health insurance in the short, medium and long term. We also highlight our new Medical Escort Service and our new, shorter Claim Form.

We are delighted to announce that we have been accredited with the “Excellence Through People” Platinum award, Ireland’s national standard for human resource management.

Last, but not least, we have also summarised our product changes, which are valid from November 2011.

In this edition of Broker Talk we highlight the development and enhancement of our underwriting guidelines. We are now in a position to offer cover for pre-existing conditions that would previously have been excluded. We also introduce the new and improved Group Renewal Document. Information required for group scheme renewal, which would previously have been issued as separate documents, is now combined in a single document. We have also summarised the results of an account management satisfaction survey and provide you with details on the use of the Allianz Worldwide Care logo.

Last, but not least, we are delighted to announce that we were voted "Best International Private Health Care Group" at the International Investment Fund and Product Awards 2011.

We are also proud to announce that we were voted "Best International Private Health Group" at the International Investment Fund and Product Awards 2010. We discuss the new monthly commission statement for brokers, which provides you with a comprehensive breakdown of any premium and commission payments per policy number. This issue highlights our new promotional tool, the corporate movie, plus you will also find details on the new online facility, which allows you to request a quote or apply directly on behalf of your clients for our short-term healthcare plan.

We are very pleased that our Standard & Poor's 'A Stable' rating has been reconfirmed, which means we remain the highest rated international health insurer. We are also delighted to announce our commercial partnership with AHRMIO, the Association for Human Resources Management in International Organisations. In the eighth edition of Broker Talk we are delighted to inform you about the upgrade of our Standard & Poor’s rating, which comes less than a year after achieving our initial rating. We have also summarised our product changes, which are valid from November 2008, as well as detailing the enhancements we have made to our website and Online services. As usual, an updated list of our sales contacts for each region has been included and our five new, toll-free numbers have been listed.

Last, but not least, we are pleased to announce that we have received the accolade of “highly commended” at both the “Cover Excellence Awards”, and the “Health Insurance Awards”, both of which were held in the UK.
