International health insurance specialist Allianz Worldwide Care has been accredited with the Excellence Through People
award, Ireland’s national standard for human resource management (and the equivalent of the UK’s Investors in People
). Excellence Through People
helps organisations to improve performance and achieve business goals more effectively, by leveraging the full potential of staff and harnessing this as a key source of competitive advantage. This standard is used by many of Ireland’s most progressive and successful organisations to help them to become more efficient, productive, flexible, competitive and innovative. Allianz Worldwide Care’s independent assessment for this award was conducted by FAS (Foras Āiseanna Saothair), Ireland’s Training and Employment Authority.
The company was graded on eight core criteria: Business Planning and Quality Improvement; Effective Communication and People Involvement; Leadership and People Management; Planning of Learning and Development; Training and Life Long Learning; Review of Learning; Recruitment and Selection and Employee Well Being. Having scored in excess of 90% in the company’s first ever assessment, the award will be given for two years, as opposed to the standard one year period. It is planned that Ireland’s Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment will present the official award later in the year.
