We are delighted to announce that Allianz Worldwide Care has been voted “Best International Private Health Care Group” at the 11th International Fund and Product Awards 2010. The awards process was conducted by a judging panel composed of senior people involved in the investment and offshore industry. Andrew Seale, Regional General Manager (UK, Middle East and Italy) accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Entrants were required to complete a questionnaire for each award they entered and the judges based their decisions on the quality of information provided in the questionnaire, alongside information and data from outside agencies such as Defaqto, AKG and Morningstar.
The judges felt that Allianz Worldwide Care’s company structure, product design and services sat seamlessly to meet the needs of both corporate and individual clients. They described the company’s core suite of products, with additional add-on benefits that allowed clients to select their preferred combination of healthcare services and geographical region, as “well thought through and very much in line with customer requirements going forward”.
According to the judges, Allianz Worldwide Care’s ‘hub and spoke’ approach, whereby services are centralised in Dublin with operational support provided from locally based Regional Medical Managers, highlighted the company’s commitment to medical cost containment.
The judges were equally impressed with how well the company’s staff is supported, leading to very high levels of service, adding that there was “an impressively wide range of language skills and staff displayed an extensive knowledge of regional cultures”.
The judges also felt that significant thought had gone into services to support brokers. In particular, they liked the facility (for brokers) to generate a unique broker-specific link to Allianz Worldwide Care’s quote engine or online application form, which could be used on the broker’s own website. In fact, according to the judges, Allianz Worldwide Care’s overall use of technology was extremely effective, commenting in particular that “the ability for certain online applications to be processed immediately is a great service”.
Estelle O’Callaghan-Westropp, Allianz Worldwide Care’s Marketing Manager added: "We're absolutely delighted to get this kind of independent recognition and feedback, particularly in terms of the results of significant staff investment, our commitment to cost containment and the ongoing work we put into the development of technology to improve services for our brokers and clients".
