At Allianz Worldwide Care, we specialise in providing international (expatriate) health insurance for employees, individuals and their dependants, wherever they are in the world.

The information and data provided by our members, clients and intermediaries is treated as strictly confidential and we, as well as our affiliates, recognise the expectations of our various external stakeholders regarding privacy.

Allianz Worldwide Care is committed to keeping your information confidential and secure. We have developed and implemented procedures to ensure that your privacy is safeguarded, at all stages of our relationship. Whether you are a customer, a client, an intermediary or applying for a job at Allianz Worldwide Care, you are protected not only by the applicable data protection and privacy laws, but also by our commitment to safeguard your privacy and your right to decide how your personal information will be used.

You can browse the public areas of the Allianz Worldwide Care website anonymously. If we wish to collect, process and use any of the personal data gathered during your visit, we will inform you. We use your information to support and enhance our high level of service delivery; for example to process your purchase, provide the appropriate services, provide support and share news with you. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

When you complete our online Application Form, please be aware that you are submitting personal information and you will not be informed separately of our Privacy Statement. If you decide not to complete the Application Form, we will keep your information on file for 30 days. This information will be retrieved by a cookie.

The information you provide to us will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1988 & 2003.

Internet Explorer

  • To confirm the new settings select "OK".

Mozilla Firefox
  • Go to the "Tools" menu at the top of the browser and select "Options".

  • Select "Use custom settings for history" and remove the checkmarks from "Accept cookies from sites"
  • To confirm the new settings select "OK".

Google Chrome
  • Click the tools icon on the right-hand side (this looks like a wrench).
  • Choose "Settings" from the drop-down menu and then click on the "Show Advanced Settings" link at the bottom of the page.
  • Select "Content settings" listed under the "Privacy" segment.
  • In the first section called "Cookies" choose the button next to "Block sites from setting any data".
  • To confirm new settings select "OK".

Safari (Apple)
  • Click the tools icon located at the top right hand side of the browser (this looks like a cog) and select "Internet Options" from the drop down list.
  • Select "Security" and under the "Accept Cookies" category select "Never".
  • To confirm the new settings close the window.

Disclosure of information

Allianz Worldwide Care may disclose member information to service providers (appointed by us), regulatory bodies and/or our partners inside and outside the European Economic Area. The disclosure of information will only happen when required for the provision of services to you, or where we are required by law to do so.

Third-party websites

Third-party websites that may be accessed via www.allianzworldwidecare.com are not maintained by Allianz Worldwide Care and therefore their information practices are not covered by this Privacy Statement. For further information on these practices, please refer to the applicable Privacy Statement as published by the relevant third-party.

Right of access and the update of information

We respect your privacy rights, particularly your right to access your information. If you ask us, and to the extent provided by local law, we will provide you with a copy of this information.

We strive to keep your data accurate, complete and up to date. Regarding your personal information, please provide details of any changes or corrections that are required by calling our Helpline. Alternatively, if you would like to request a call from our Helpline to discuss any changes, please complete and submit our 'Contact Me' online form.

What is data encryption?

To help protect your personal information including your credit card number, we encrypt the data processed during every transaction. Encryption involves the use of software to scramble any credit card details and personal information that is being transferred to us.

If you are using a security-enabled browser (that supports SSL version 3.0, TLS 1.0 (or higher) or Internet Explorer 7) any information that you send us regarding your purchase is encrypted, making it extremely difficult to "read" even if it is illegally intercepted.
