The information and data provided by our members, clients, intermediaries and partners is treated as strictly confidential and we, as well as our affiliates, recognise the expectations of our various external stakeholders regarding privacy.

Allianz Worldwide Care is committed to keeping your information confidential and secure. We have developed and implemented procedures to ensure that your privacy is safeguarded, at all stages of our relationship. Whether you are a client, an intermediary or applying for a job at Allianz Worldwide Care, you are protected not only by the applicable data protection and privacy laws, but also by our commitment to safeguard your privacy and your right to decide how your personal information will be used.

You can browse the public areas of our website anonymously. If we wish to collect, process and use any of the personal data gathered during your visit, we will seek your explicit approval before doing so. We use your information to support and enhance our high level of service delivery; for example to process your purchase, provide the appropriate services, provide support and share news with you. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

When you complete our online Application Form, please be aware that you are submitting personal information and you will not be informed separately of our Privacy Statement. If you decide not to submit your completed Application Form, we will keep your information on file for 30 days.’ This information will be retrieved by a cookie.

The information you provide to us will be held in accordance with Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

How does Allianz Worldwide Care use cookies?

Our website uses cookies to record information related to the user and their browsing preferences. This information is important and enables our website infrastructure to deliver fast, secure and reliable functionality to all users. Cookies are set up to store information such as the user's language preference, Broker ID numbers and User ID codes.

User ID codes - These are unique identifiers which are used by our website's activity monitoring tool to determine the number of unique visitors to our site.

Broker ID numbers - These are used to identify and track customer movements on our website, following referral from our brokers.

The information below provides step by step instructions for you to follow should you wish to disable browser cookies. You may choose to delete and block all cookies, however in selecting this option some features of the site will not be fully functional.

Internet Explorer (versions earlier than Internet Explorer 11)

  • Choose the "Privacy" tab and slide the settings bar all the way to the top of the gauge to "Block All Cookies".

Mozilla Firefox

  • Go to the "Tools" menu at the top of the browser and select "Options".
  • Choose the "Privacy" tab and make your selection from the drop-down menu that begins "Firefox will".
  • Select "Use custom settings for history" and remove the checkmarks from "Accept cookies from sites".
  • To confirm the new settings select "OK".

Google Chrome

  • Go to the Chrome menu icon at the top right hand side of the browser.
  • Choose "Settings" from the drop-down menu and then click on the "Show Advanced Settings" link at the bottom of the page.
  • Select "Content settings" listed under the "Privacy" segment.
  • In the first section called "Cookies" choose the button next to "Block sites from setting any data".
  • To confirm new settings click "Done".

Safari (Apple)

  • On the top menu choose Safari>Preferences.
  • Click "Privacy" and select "Always block" under the "Cookies and website data" options.
  • To confirm the new settings close the window.

Disclosure of information

Allianz Worldwide Care may disclose member information to service providers (appointed by us), regulatory bodies and/or our partners inside and outside the European Economic Area. The disclosure of information will only happen when required for the provision of services to you, or where we are required by law to do so.

In all situations other than those noted above, we will ask for your explicit authorisation before using or disclosing information about you. If you have previously provided authorisation, you may revoke it at any time for the future use of your information.

Third-party websites

Third-party websites that may be accessed via are not maintained by Allianz Worldwide Care and therefore their information practices are not covered by this Privacy Statement. For further information on these practices, please refer to the applicable Privacy Statement as published by the relevant third-party.

This site uses iAdvize, a live chat and behavioral analysis service. iAdvize uses cookies and JavaScript, which are files stored and executed on your computer to help the website analyze site usage by its users, and to provide such data to representatives of the site that might, if needed, manually enhance this data. What is data encryption?

To help protect your personal information including your credit card number, we encrypt the data processed during every transaction. Encryption involves the use of software to scramble any credit card details and personal information that is being transferred to us.

If you are using a security-enabled browser that supports SSL version 3.0, TLS 1.0 (or higher) or Internet Explorer 7 any information that you send us regarding your purchase is encrypted, making it extremely difficult to "read" even if it is illegally intercepted. Your legal rights

You have the right to make certain requests and/or restrictions with regards to the information on you held by Allianz Worldwide Care.

  4. You have the right to restrict the way we use or disclose information about you in connection with the administration, payment and treatment received under a policy of insurance.
  5. You have the right to ask us to restrict disclosures to persons involved in your health care.
  6. You have the right to request from us a list of certain disclosures we have made about you (such as disclosures to government agencies that license us) where such disclosures were permitted by law.
  7. You have the right to be notified following a breach that involves your information.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Statement from time to time, at our sole discretion. If we make any changes, we will post those changes here. Your continued use of the Allianz Worldwide Care website after we post any updates will constitute your acceptance of those updates.
