Our plans are available for groups of five members or more and provide cover for dependants where required. They are  tailored to provide cover for expats, staff working abroad for short periods, dependents (if required) and third country nationals. The plans are available for groups of 5 members or more.
Our specially-designed plans offer comprehensive cover. Read our comprehensive Brochure and the Employee Benefit Guide for more information about our international healthcare plans for NGOs.

Members are covered for emergencies only, which occur during business and holiday trips outside of the chosen area of cover (where relevant). Cover is provided subject to policy terms and conditions for up to six weeks per trip within the maximum benefit amount. It includes treatment required due to an accident or the sudden beginning or worsening of a severe illness which presents an immediate threat to your health. Treatment by a doctor must start within 24 hours of the emergency event. Cover is not provided for curative or follow-up non-emergency treatment, even if you are deemed unable to travel to a country within your geographical area of cover. Nor does it extend to charges relating to maternity, pregnancy, childbirth or any complications of pregnancy or childbirth.

Please tell your company’s Group Scheme Manager if you are going to be outside your area of cover for more than six weeks. The areas of cover are subject to our terms and conditions.

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can assist staff through family support, financial difficulty support and a referral service for legal support.  Additionally, we offer a variety of expatriate services including pre-assignment employee assessment and evaluation, intercultural training and destination and repatriation services.
Certain services which may be included in your plan are provided by third party providers outside the Allianz group, such as the Expat Assistance Programme, Travel Security services, HealthSteps App, Second Medical Opinion and tele-medicine services. If included in your plan,  these services will show in your Table of Benefits. These services are made available to you subject to your acceptance of the terms and conditions of your policy and the terms and conditions of the third parties. These Services may be subject to geographical restrictions. * NGO Essential Plans provide two areas of cover: Area 1 and Area 2. The insured member’s country of residence will determine which of these areas of cover will be applied to their policy. The areas of cover are as follows: • Area 1: This area will apply to insured members worldwide excluding those who are residents of USA, Hong Kong, China, Israel, Singapore, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Africa. • Area 2: This area will apply to insured members who are residents of Africa only. Cover is provided only for treatment within the insured member’s country of residence, except in the case of emergency treatment. Emergency treatment outside the country of residence will be covered for trips up to a maximum period of 21 days. Elective treatment outside the country of residence is not covered.
