November 29, 2013

Allianz Worldwide Care has further strengthened its credentials as a top employer following the announcement that the global health insurer has been awarded 2013 Employer of the Year by Queen’s University Management School.  Separately, the company has been accredited with Excellence Through People 1000:2012 from the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI).

Allianz Worldwide Care received the inaugural Employer Recognition Award from Queen’s University Management School for demonstrating outstanding commitment to student training and mentoring. The Employer Recognition Awards, which are overseen by a judging panel from Queen’s University, give placed students the opportunity to formally recognise the support they receive from their employer.

Allianz Worldwide Care was chosen from a large group of actuarial employers in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe who offer year-long placements to students.

One nominating student said: “What is exceptional about Allianz Worldwide Care is the company culture.  There are five core values by which the company operates; driven by customers, operating with integrity, recognising our people, striving for excellence and delivering on promises. Allianz Worldwide Care certainly delivered on their promise of an invaluable placement experience”.

In addition, Allianz Worldwide Care’s investment in its people has led to the Dublin-based company being certified with Excellence Through People 1000:2012 for Human Resource Management, by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI).
Following a robust, three-day assessment, it was found that Allianz Worldwide Care’s Human Resource Management system delivered value, implemented support practices that are fundamental to the success of the business and achieved continuous improvement through an effective work force. The company’s core values were also shown to contribute to high performance levels and cost efficiencies.
“We are honoured to have received the Employer Recognition Award and the Excellence Through People accreditation. With 53 nationalities employed at Allianz Worldwide Care, we are one of the most culturally diverse organisations within the Allianz Group, and our staff, who collectively speak 27 languages, are our greatest asset. There are over 800 people employed at Allianz Worldwide Care and we take our commitment to them very seriously in terms of development, support, performance management and career progression”.

Cusack added, “It’s also critical that we share with them the ethos and values of the company.  Ultimately this is what enables us to deliver a market leading service to our clients”.
